The Nutrition Stakeholder Group works to reduce cardiovascular disease in the BRADD in several ways. Some examples include:

  1.  Sharing information with farmers markets on ways to implement food benefits programs for payment, including data on how this positively impacts revenues in other stores and markets.
  2. Collaborating with community agencies to promote nutrition education and farmers markets in the BRADD.
  3. Using new media to facilitate communication between farmers and vendors
  4. Providing nutrition education to community groups and at large community events.
